Nintendocore (or NEScore) is a subgenre of music inspired by metalcore music and the instruments which accompany 8-bit video game soundtracks, most notably those on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It is characterized by sounding similar to 8-bit video game music/chiptunes, often combined with other genres of music, or remixed variations of old NES video game themes.

The term was first coined by Nathan Winneke, lead singer of a band which have been labeled as Nintendocore, HORSE the Band.

Examples of Nintendocore bands include "From Dusk Till Dawn" and "Chaos Con Queso".
